Time Flies...May 1st

February, March and April went flying by as usual. The main cause was my schedule with my mother. For those of you not acquainted, Mom has been fighting a long battle with cancer. Her care has of course has been my primary focus.

But the good news is the first display of my work is soon to be exhibited at the local public library. I am very happy about this and excited. I have also in recent weeks had two invitations to view my jewelry and possible offers to sell it through a few vendors who are local.

The next thing is becoming a member of the Charleston Jewelry Guild. So lots of things to keep me busy in the upcoming month of May.

Retail License

We applied for our license on the 17th, and received it in the mail just yesterday. I am excited and happy. This makes it more official and is definately the start of LEMON CREEK DESIGNS. Yeahhh! May will be the month that kicks things off. The Blue Crab Festival is the big agenda for now. More later. :-)

New series of braclets.

I have been working on two new series of braclets. One is an charm braclet with lots of gemstone pendant charms, jingles alot and fun to wear. The second is a more sophisticated and elegant look with pearls and a double stranded band, very pretty.

New Beginings

Well this should be exciting. This is my newly created site . I hope to record my progress and share my adventures along the way. My Company is LEMON CREEK DESIGNS. My daughter Kathryn and I started this about three years ago. We custom make beaded jewelry. We each have different styles and ideas for the items we make. Our work is hand made and each piece is unique. We may replicate patterns and colors but items may differ from piece to piece. I like this because it really shows the handmade aspect.
We make anklets, bracelets, charms, earrings, key rings, pendants, book markers, and pet name tags and a few whimsical items. I have a great talent to be creative and a good eye for color. These two combinations make our jewelry a popular choice among our regulars clients and our beach travelers/tourists.
Since this is just the beginning of our advertising and starting to grow we look forward to any comments and suggestions along the way.
